Overview
Resources available to faculty and students include intellectual support, such as affiliated programs, organizations and writing centers, and physical facilities, such as computer labs and specially equipped classrooms.
English Department faculty are prominently involved in at least five programs—American Studies, Black World Studies, Film Studies, Latin American Studies, and Women’s Studies—all of which encourage students to take part in ongoing conversations about forces that have shaped various cultures, lives, and art forms. Computer classrooms offer students and faculty opportunities to work in electronic media, and the Department’s various publications, some of which appear nationwide, feature student and professional texts.
