- Oxford, MS: Lead presenter at a University of Mississippi Writing Project’s Summer Institute session in June 2007. The presentation was titled, “Using Dialect to Engage the Writing Community.“
- Nashville, TN: Co-presenter at the National Council of Teachers of English Annual Conference in November 2006. The presentation was titled, “Teaching the Unlovable and Loving It: Motivating Reluctant Learners.”
- Tupelo, MS: Lead presenter at the University of Mississippi Writing Project’s Back-to-School Boot Camp in August 2006. The presentation was titled, “Sentence Solutions: Using Literature to teach the Mechanics of Writing.”
