Work in Progress
Dr. Detloff is working on an article on the intersections between “Crip Theory” (a blend of queer theory and disability studies) and Transgender theory. She is in the early stages of a new book project analyzing the cultural impact of the work of contemporary female “public intellectuals” such as Susan Sontag, Toni Morrison, Joan Didion, Barbara Ehrenreich, and Janet Malcolm.
