Corbett named John W. Stuebe Professor
Professor Mary Jean Corbett has been awarded the inaugural John W. Steube Professorship. This professorship has been created as part of Miami University’s continuing effort to support faculty during the university’s For Love and Honor capital campaign. Professor Corbett’s designation as the Steube Endowed Professor celebrates her success as a teacher and scholar who exemplifies the very best of Miami’s traditions.
John W. Steube was born in 1890 in the Hamilton area. He later moved to Fairfield and then to Cincinnati. He served in the Navy in World War I. Mr. Steube died in 1963.
