Fire Safety

Miami University Fire Safety meets the requirements of the Ohio Fire Code and OSHA regulations adopted by the State of Ohio, Fire Marshall's Office. The core components of the Fire Safety Program are: education, engineering, and enforcement. Program implementation is based on the level of risk within each occupancy type or specific function.

Fire Safety staff focus on three key issues: fire prevention, life safety, and emergency planning and preparedness.
