The application process requires the candidate to apply to (and be accepted by) both the Graduate School and the Department of Educational Leadership.
The candidate must submit a Graduate School Application Form, a $35.00 non-refundable application fee, and two official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate course work (Miami University students need only supply one offical transcript) to The Graduate School, 102 Roudebush Hall, Miami University, Oxford, OH 45056.

The Graduate School requires an applicant to have a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.75 (or 3.0 in the last 60 hours).
In addition to applying to The Graduate School, candidates must apply to the department. The department requires candidates to submit the EDL Curriculum and Teacher Leadership Information form and two references to the CTL Admissions Committee, Department of Educational Leadership, Miami University, Oxford, OH 45056. Two completed recommendation forms must be submitted to the EDL department. The potential student should request that one form be completed by a teacher who can speak to the candidate's ability as a teacher. Candidates must have one additional form completed by an individual who knows their professional work (other teachers, supervisors, principal, parents, etc.). Forms should be completed by individuals who know the applicant well, can talk knowledgeably about the candidate's work and potential for successful graduate study as well as potential for making a positive contribution as a school leader.
