Effects of Urbanization on Native Ecosystems
Summer 2002

In this cluster, students investigated the effects of urbanization on native biodiversity and natural ecosystems. While not a traditional area of ecological inquiry, ecologists are increasingly turning their attention to the functioning of human-dominated landscapes and, in particular, urban areas.
