For this Miami University REU program, we are looking for students: 1) with an interest in ecological/environmental research, 2) for whom an independent research experience would play a pivotal role in choosing and successfully pursuing graduate school and/or a career, 3) who do not have similar opportunities though their home institutions, and 4) who have the academic training and personal qualities needed to succeed in an independent research program such as ours. With these criteria in mind, please explain your interest in ecological research, your current career plans and how participating in the Miami University REU program could help you in your degree program and your future pursuits.
