Scholarly Interests:
Dr. Horn's primary research and scholarly work examines how the behavior and psychosocial growth of children, adolescents, and young adults in sport and physical activity contexts is affected, or shaped, by factors in their social environment. In particular, she has conducted research projects that examine the role that significant other individuals (e.g., parents, coaches, peers) play in the lives of athletes. Dr. Horn also engages in collaborative and cross-disciplinary research projects that examine health, physical activity behaviors, and motor performance in children, adolescents, and young adults.
