Scholarly Interests :

As the Director of the Center for Health Enhancement, I am interested in the role physical activity and exercise play in disease risk reduction. Some of my current research is centered around how restructuring the environment in schools can enhance health, decrease weight gain, and improve academic performance. I am also interested in how physical activity and exercise influence carbohydrate and fat metabolism.
