Current Employment: Oak Hills Local School District, School Psychologist and School Counselor at Springmyer Elementary in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kristi Hofstadter

Current Employment: Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln School Psychology Doctoral Program-Nebraska RTI Consortium.
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Kritsi is currently working in collaboration with various professionals across the state on development and implementation of a state-wide RTI model for Nebraska. Kristi is also taking classes and getting some experience in a clinic-based practicum.
Personal News: Kristi and Skye will be getting married on August16, 2008 in Savanna, GA.
Thoughts: The program provided me with excellent instruction, extensive practical experience, and unparalleled research opportunities, all of which serve as invaluable assets to my current pursuits. These experiences, along with the progressive nature of the program, prepared me exceptionally well for applied experiences and advanced training in my current doctoral program.

Sara A. Michelucci Vondracek

Current Employment: Horseheads Middle School, Horseheads, NY
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Sara is currently involved in crisis planning and monthly topical parent in-services/support group
Personal News: Sara and her family just moved back to NY, and her husband is now running/purchasing the family winery.
Thoughts: Miami's program is TRULY well-rounded. Having practiced now in two states from inner-city schools to suburbia, I feel that I was well prepared to practice traditional school psychology while collaborating with others to support and facilitate my districts' moves toward RTI and more progressive practice.

Ross Linscott

Current Employment: Cardigan-Lincoln Local Schools as the lone School Psychologist
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: During his first year Ross assisted with coordinating the special education department as the coordinator took over as the Elementary Principal.
Personal News: Ross got married on March 31, 2007 and they have a chocolate lab puppy, named Buckeye.
Thoughts: Miami's school psychology program is a comprehensive training program grounded in best practice that allows students and professors to remain at the forefront of the profession I can't thank you or the rest of the EDP faculty enough for your guidance and thorough training that I received in the last 3 years at Miami. I feel extremely prepared for the job that I am in now - even with being labeled as a "school administrator." I know that I still have plenty of growth to experience in the future, but it is the firm foundation of school psychology practices that I learned at Miami that have been and will continue to be the guiding principles in my career.

Amity Noltemeyer

Current Employment: Doctoral Student in School Psychology, Kent State University
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Currently involved in research on systems change and RTI.
Personal News: Amity and her husband just had a baby boy, Pierce Michael Noltemeyer, on 8-2-07.
Thoughts: I am so pleased that I chose Miami's School Psychology program. The classroom and experiential components of Miami's program prepared me well to enter the field as a school psychology practitioner. In addition, the research component of the program helped prepare me to pursue a doctoral degree. The faculty at Miami were always available and sought to provide me with individually tailored experiences. Finally, the cohort system helped promote strong bonds between my fellow students which persist to this day. I want to thank Miami for providing me with such a great experience!

Shelaina M. Brown

Current Employment: Cincinnati Public School District
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Shelaina has submitted two presentation proposals to NASP in New Orleans 2008, and is planning to apply to School Psychology Doctoral Programs with in the next year.
Personal News: Shelaina is getting married in July 2008. In addition, her brother, Dale, is carrying out the Miami school psychology tradition as a first year student.

Patrick Frato

Current Employment: Reynoldsburg City Schools
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Patrick is currently learning bilingual (Spanish) test administration after 2.5 months of Spanish classes in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In addition, Patrick is currently working toward a TESOL certification.
Personal News:
Thoughts: Miami will teach you that your role as a school psychologist goes much further than just testing and you will value this training immensely when you start in the field. I have...

Amy Claassen Geer

Current Employment: Guilford County Schools, Greensboro, NC.
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Amy is currently the DIBELS Training Coordinator for Guilford County Schools. She is also active in the implementation of her school district's RTI model.
Personal News: Amy and her husband are expecting their first child in June 2010.

Current Employment: Monroe Jr/Sr High school (grades 7-12)
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Kristina is currently acting as a coach to support district implementation of the Ohio Integrated Systems Model (OISM)
Personal News: Kristina got married on July 16, 2005

Casey Swann Jones

Current Employment: Polk County Schools in Polk County Florida
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: For the past two years Casey has worked on the district team that rewrote their Intervention Assistance Team manual in response to RTI initiatives. The presented the manual in September of 2007 an she was mainly involved in development of the interventions section of the manual. This is also her second year as a PBS Coach.
Personal News: Casey and her husband are proud new parents of Noah Michael Jones who was born on 4-23-07.
Thoughts: The education program prepared me well for the field of School Psychology and the friendships formed with those in my cohort remain a blessing in my life today.

Gina Federico Scheper

Current Employment: Hawaii State Department of Education, AIEA Complex School Psychologist
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Gina is currently involved in creating an RTI module for the central Oahu School District. This will be a huge accomplishment for Gina, to get Oahu involved in RTI. There are only three people in the entire district working together to revise district forms to reflect RTI, one of which is Gina. Gina has also been nominated to give numerous in-services on RTI process and data collection through CBM in their various complexes as well, theyre going to pilot the module in one elementary school and see how it goes before expanding to the whole district. Gina is very excited about this and a bit overwhelmed.
Personal News: Gina just moved out to Hawaii this past summer.
Thoughts: The excellent reputation of Miami University's school psychology graduate program is known nationwide, which has given me a huge advantage when looking for jobs across the country. I've worked in three states (Ohio, Georgia, and now Hawaii) and I received multiple job offers in each state within a few weeks of posting my resume. The training I received at Miami University, specifically in curriculum-based measurement and response-to-intervention, has also provided me with lots of leadership and teaching opportunities within every district I've worked in thus far. So, that's pretty much italoha!

Meredith Mundell

Current Employment: Marysville Exempted Village School District
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Meredith is currently working on educating administrators and teachers in the district on RTI. As part of this initiative, they are utilizing a new student data base this year with universal screening data and restructuring class schedules and resources at the elementary level in order to allow more flexible interventions and progress monitoring time.
Personal News: Meredith is married and has a son Cameron, who is just over a year old.
Thoughts: Miami's SP program prepared me to work collaboratively in an environment with stakeholders from different training and backgrounds. The SP program gave me the skills to confidently address student referral concerns ranging from academic achievement to emotional stability.

Jennifer Whitted

Current Employment: Paradise Valley Unified School District in Phoenix Arizona. Currently the School Psychologist for two elementary schools.
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Jennifer is part of the leadership team at one of her schools that is helping to organize and implement school-wide PBIS. Jennifer is also working on getting RTI started at the other school.

Mindy Dible

Current Employment: Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township in Indianapolis. Mindy works at one elementary and one middle school.
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Mindy is currently involved in helping the district move forward with the RTI process, implemented district-wide this year.
Personal News: Mindy recently moved from MI to IN and has a new addition to her family: Isaac James Dible who was born on 3-24-2007.
Thoughts: Miami's professors were very devoted to helping us come away with all the skills we would need to be able to get a job and succeed in the profession.

Jean Tobias

Current Employment: Columbia Public Schools, MO.
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Jean co-lead a district wide CBM project: Developed the probes for their new curriculum and normed 2nd-7th graders on CBM math calculation and applications, encompassing 8 elementary schools and 3 middle schools.
Personal News: Jean recently ran a half marathon!
Thoughts: Miami gave me the tools I needed to assist with systems-level change in my district. I thank them for teaching me how to think outside the box!

Anastasia Bivens-Flick

Current Employment: Cincinnati Public Schools
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Anastasia organized a series of seminars for families in the district with children with autisms in March of 2007. They had a series of talks over one month provided by CHMC and well as the CPS Autism Team. They were also able to provide child care and dinner at each seminar and the turnout was wonderful.
Personal News: Anastasia and her husband are expecting their first child this Thanksgiving (2007), and are very thankful.

Susan Davies Gfroerer

Current Employment: Clinical Faculty member in the School Psychology program at University of Dayton
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Susan is currently researching interventions and school-based serviced for students with traumatic brain injuries.
Personal News: Susan is married to a former Miami School Psychology Program graduate, Chris Gfroerer. They have three daughters; Cara, Mia, and Charley Ann, who was just born this summer. Susan and her family just finished building their house in Milford, OH.
Thoughts: The relationships I established in the program have endured throughout my professional practice. In fact, just today I recommended that one my school psych students shadow a former classmate so they could see "model" practice firsthand.

Kathleen S. Bower

Current Employment: Lead Psychologist, Cincinnati Public Schools
Professional Accomplishments/Activities: Kathleen participates on the district planning and implementation teams for Pyramid of Interventions and Positive School Culture (PBS).
Personal News:
Thoughts: The thing I loved most about Miami was that questioning, dialog, and debate were encouraged. No one claimed to know all of the answers- we were all on the journey together.
