Dr. Alex Thomas

Alex Thomas is currently Professor Emeritus in Educational Psychology at Miami University. He has been co-editor of all five editions of Best Practices in School Psychology and the first two editions of Children’s Needs: Psychological Perspectives. He has been editor of the Communique and is a former associate editor of The Journal of School Psychology. He has been President of the National Association of School Psychologists (87/88, 98/99), the Ohio School Psychologists Association (79/80, 97/98), and the Trainers of School Psychologists (94/95). He has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of School Psychologists (2004). Currently, he coordinates the school psychology internship.
