EDL Programs Home Page
The Department of Educational Leadership's Superintendent Licensure prepares administrators to address the fundamental questions central to the reform of schools. Our Superintendent Licensure program emphasizes the teaching and learning process, the cultural and political context of schools, and the moral and ethcial dimensions of schooling as well as a renewed concern with the clincial dimension of professional practice.
Our program is designed to educate critical self-reflective leaders who can focus on creating schools capable of producing conditions conducive to learning for all students.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
Enrollment into the licensure program requires the follwing minimum qualifications:
- Completion of an undergraduate degree with a minimum 2.75 GPA
- Possession of a professional teacher licensure
- Three years teaching experience
- Masters degree in school leadership, school administration, or curriculum and teacher leadership

ENROLLMENT PROCESS
1. Complete the Application for Admission to the Graduate School. This form is found in the "Graduate Study at Miami University" viewbook and is available from the Department of Educational Leadership, 304 McGuffey Hall, 513-529-6825, or the Graduate School office, 102 Roudebush Hall, 513-529-3734 or by clicking here.
2. The student must request that one original transcript of the highest degree earned be sent to the Graduate School (102 Roudebush Hall). (Students who have attended Miami University for this degree need not submit a transcript.)
*Please select "continuing nondegree graduate status" when completing your Graduate School Application.
**If you intened to pursue a doctoral degree in educational leadership in addition to the licensure, please visit the Doctor of Philosophy or Doctor of Education program pages for application instructions.**
