Dana King is principal of Milbrook High School, an urban school with almost 2,500 students in Raleigh, N.C. A 1979 Miami graduate (BS in Education), she appreciates the rigorous courses that were part of the curriculum. She remembers being required to take a computer course. "Do you realize how bizarre that was in 1979?" she says. "I didn't appreciate the relevance of that experience, but truly appreciate it 30 years later. The world got flat."
