Student teaching in Europe

Europe: Luxembourg, Brussels, Germany
A long-time favorite of Miami teacher candidates is the Student Teaching Program in Europe. For more than 20 years, students have been teaching in the International School in Luxembourg or Department of Defense Dependents (DODDS) Schools in Germany. Now, the International School of Brussels is also a choice. Students teach in well-equipped schools, using the newest technology and teaching methods. All classes are taught in English.
Cost and program details: 16- week program. Fall semester only. Tuition and rent are similar to expenses on the Oxford campus, but students spend more traveling and eating out than they would on campus.
Perks: On weekends, students grab their backpacks and hit the train to cities such as Prague, Paris, and Rome, and still make it back by Monday morning for the start of classes.
