Teacher Licensure Information
To apply for a 4-Year Resident Educator License, mail or bring the following materials to: Kathy Salmon, EHS Student Services, 202C McGuffey Hall, Miami University, Oxford, Ohio 45056
• 4-Year Resident Educator License application
• $160 check or money order payable to "Treasurer, State of Ohio"
• Copy of Praxis II scores (if you did not request that they be sent to Miami)
4-Year Resident Educator License applications are available at the Ohio Department of Education website. At the bottom of the page, click on "education licensure applications." Next, scroll down and click on "4-Year Resident Educator License." Our office will supply the "signature of recommending university official" on the application.
Upon completion of degree and Praxis II requirements, your application will be processed and forwarded to the Ohio Department of Education. You will receive your license from ODE in about 2-3 weeks. You may check the status of your application and fingerprints submission on their web site.
