Choose Ohio
The Miami Choose Ohio First Preservice M.A.T. Fellowships will provide approximately $1,500 a year as a renewable tuition scholarship for MAT students accepted into the Adolescent Young Adult (Grades 7-12) majors for licensure in Integrated Mathematics Education, or a scienec-related education major.
How to Apply:
- You will automatically receive a letter of invitation for the award accompanying your letter of notification of admittance to the MAT major for the appropriate mathematics or science related area.
- Simply send an email message with the subject, "COF MAT Fellowship Acceptance" to Iris DeLoach Johnson, johnsoid@muohio.edu, and copy your message to Linda Dennett, dennetlg@muohio.edu.
Eligibility and requirements:
- Acceptance in a M.A.T. Adolescent Young Adult (AYA) program for integrated Mathematics or a science-related education area
- Not a recipient of a graduate assistantship, grant-in-aid, or other financial support (other than loans) that support the cost of tuition
- Enrolled in mathematics or science content courses (undergraduate or graduate levels) during the award period
- Maintain a minimum 2.5 undergraduate GPA and a 3.00 graduate GPA
- Ohio resident
Benefits
- Approximately $1,500 tuition scholarship per year- renewable for two years if eligiblity maintained
- Invitation to attend special mathematics or science seminar courses supported by the Choose Ohio First Undergraduate Scholars program
