Effective July 1, Judy Rogers, professor of educational leadership, will assume the responsibilities of associate dean for academic affairs in the School of Education, Health and Society (EHS).
She succeeds Michael Dantley, who has been named Miami’s associate provost effective July 1. In her new role, she will be overseeing all areas related to faculty, including faculty development and mentoring, and graduate education.
“As a classroom instructor, Judy's students have characterized her as supportive, dynamic, motivating,and a teacher who provides safe contexts for exploring knowledge andpersonal growth,” said Carine Feyten, dean of EHS.
Rogers served 15 years as director of graduate studies in the College Student Personnel Program and has shouldered a host of university-wide service responsibilities while remaining actively involved in research and her national professional organization.
Dantley is succeeding John Skillings, who is retiring. "Michael brings an extraordinary knowledge of Miami and a wealth of experience and strengths to the office," said Jeffrey Herbst, provost.
