The Department of Educational Leadership (EDL) is one of five departments in the School of Education, Health & Society at Miami University. EDL offers masters degrees in College Student Personnel, Curriculum & Teacher Leadership, and School Leadership, a Ph.D. in administration and curriculum and an Ed.D, and courses leading to licensure in the school principalship, superintendency and supervision. The Department offers undergraduate courses including EDL 204: Sociocultural Studies in Education and EDL 318: School Organization & Curriculum and a thematic sequence "Cultural Studies and Public Life." EDL's 18 full time faculty teach and conduct research in the areas of college student personnel, curriculum studies, educational administration, social foundations of education, cultural studies, and educational research.
