Accreditation
is a process for assessing and enhancing academic and educational quality
through voluntary peer review. The National Council for Association
of Teacher Education (NCATE) accreditation informs the public that an
institution has a professional education unit that has met state, professional,
and institutional standards of educational quality. The Ohio Department
of Education (ODE) works in partnership with NCATE to conduct state
program approval and national unit accreditation. The School of Education
and Allied Professions is proud of their status as fully accredited
by both national (NCATE) and state (ODE) accreditation organizations.
