Venus is the second planet from the sun. It's also known as the earth's sister planet because Earth and Venus are almost the same size. But these two plants look nothing alike. From orbit, Venus looks like a pearl, with many colors swirling around in the atmosphere. Playing baseball on this planet would be difficult because most of the time the games would be called off on account of bad weather. The storms on Venus are many times bigger than the storms on Earth. The temperature can sometimes be hotter than Mercury because of the Greenhouse effect. This means that the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere keeps the sun's heat in, making the surface hot enough to turn water to steam.
