Watch for DragonflyTV!

A new television show is coming, and you'll recognize it right away. It's DragonflyTV, and it will be just like Dragonfly magazine and the Dragonfly Web Pages. Now investigators like you will have even more ways to share your discoveries!

Making a television series is a grand investigation. For the first show (called the "pilot"), we shoot much more film than we could possibly use. Then we start exploring. We ask questions like: What do viewers learn from each scene? Does a scene work better when it is longer or shorter? Should we include fast-paced music? What inspires viewers the most?

To answer these questions, we'll go to several places across the nation. Groups of kid viewers will see different versions of the pilot show. We plan to use interviews and surveys so viewers can tell us what they thought.

The TV producers will also send the pilot to PBS television stations around the country so they can broadcast the show. In those cities, viewers will be asked to send in what they think.
