2010-2011 Request for Proposals (RFP) Documents

Please note the following Discovery Center funding update:

Discovery has not received 2010-2011 funding from the Ohio Board of Regents (OBR) to support face-to-face professional development programs. As a result, Discovery deeply regrets that there will not be a RFP to provide funding for face-to-face programs during Summer 2010. Hopefully, the state financial climate will change and the OBR will be able to provide the funding through Discovery to support high quality professional development next summer. Also, with new science and mathematics standards on the horizon, high quality professional development will be a must for successful and equitable implementation across Ohio.

The Discovery Center and Dragonfly, both housed at Miami University, expect to receive 2010-2011 Improving Teacher Quality funding through the OBR to support iDiscovery online courses during the 2010/2011 academic year. Miami University will again waive tuition for these graduate credit courses. These courses can be used as follow-on for workshops you may still be able to provide. In addition, iDiscovery may be able to provide support for school-, district-, and regional-level science and mathematics curriculum and instruction implemenation projects.
