As a student organization at Miami University, the elected members of the Dance Theatre Executive Board serve as the voice of the company and work in a joint leadership role with company director, Lana Kay Rosenberg.

2011-2012 EXECUTIVE BOARD

Caroline Farris, President, is a senior Art History major from Knoxville, TN with an Arts Management and Metals minors. " I have been a member of DT for three years now, and my experience with this company has been irreplaceable. Honored to be elected again as president, I plan to make the most of my last year with DT. I am consistently proud of my fellow dancers, and am always impressed at the artistic caliber of the concerts that we work together to create. DT inspires me and I've been so thankful to have such a steady outlet over these hectic college years. Pushing the company to work their hardest is my goal, but I'm also eager to continue to learn from my fellow dancers. We all have so many different talents and abilities, and when we hit the stage together the results are consistently unique. With motivation and energy, I can't wait to push myself alongside my company this year.

Bridgette Rawlina, Vice President, is a senior Microbiology and Clinical Laboratory Science major from Columbus, OH. Excited to be participating in her third year with Dance Theatre, she is Vice President. She choreographed Black Tambourine for the Spring 2011 concert and hopes to continue exploring with choreography this season. Along with DT, she enjoys participating in undergraduate research, running, and relaxing with her amazing roommates. She would like to thank Lana Kay and the rest of the members of Dance Theatre for creating such an encouraging, fun environment where she can continue to pursue her love of dance.

Danielle Salomon, Treasurer, is a sophomore Finance and Entrepreneurship major, Chinese minor, from Bellevue, Wa. Danielle danced competitively for ten years at Backstage Dance Studio and enjoyed the many experiences and opportunities brought forth through dance. Trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, and hip-hop, she enjoys furthering her appreciation for dance through Dance Theatre. Enthusiastic for her second year with Dance Theatre, she is thrilled to be a part of the Executive Board.

Sami Ackard, Secretary, is a junior Psychology major, with a Spanish minor from Columbus, OH. Dancing for 13 years, while in high school she competed in competitions across the nation as both a soloist and on a team. Sami has been trained in many forms of dance, from ballet, jazz, and lyrical to contemporary, hip hop and tap. She is very excited for another year in Dance Theatre and is very proud to be a part of the executive board again as well. In addition to dancing, Sami also enjoys indulging in other forms of art, such as drawing and photography.

Kristin Bell, Publicity Chair, a sophomore Marketing major from Westerville, OH, has loved the art of dance since age 3 when she began taking classes. In the past, she was a part of her high school dance team, taking the role of captain for two years, and a pre-professional company at her studio. When not dancing, Kristin enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. She is very excited to be a part of the Executive Board this year and cannot wait for what's in store for DT!
