U.S.News & World Report Lists Miami Among "Stellar" Programs for Improving Student Writing |
In its annual ranking of U.S.News & World Report includes Miami in its list of twelve public and sixteen private schools offering stellar programs in “Writing across the Disciplines.” These colleges and universities, the magazine explains, “typically make writing a priority at all levels of instruction and across the curriculum. Students are encouraged to produce and refine various forms of writing for a range of audiences in different disciplines.” To identify the schools, U.S. News invited college presidents, chief academic officers, and deans of admission to nominate up to 10 institutions. The list includes the schools, including Miami, that were mentioned most often nationally.
