Profile
After completing her first collection of short stories, BODY LANGUAGE, Kelly Magee (MFA, Fiction Writing, Ohio State University, 2003) is currently working on a novel set both on the Mexican/American border and in rural Florida, in which a housewife becomes caught up in the human smuggling trade. She is also completing a chapbook of short-short stories that imagine settings as active characters, often with their own points of view.
Magee has published in Black Warrior Review, The Cream City Review, Colorado Review, Crab Orchard Review, Indiana Review, Folio, and Quarterly West, among others, and has work forthcoming in Hotel Amerika (Winner, 2006 Fiction Contest), Driftwood, a Literary Journal of Voices from Afar, Artful Dodge, So to Speak: A Feminist Journal of Language and Art, and Marlboro Review.
