Margaret Luongo

Margaret Luongo (M.F.A., University of Florida) has received an Ohio Arts Council Individual Creativity Grant, the Walter E. Dakin Fellowship at the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, and an Ohio Arts Council Residency at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts.
Her first collection of stories, If the Heart Is Lean, was published by Louisiana State University Press in September 2008. Her stories have appeared in GRANTA, Tin House, Jane magazine, Fence, The Cincinnati Review, New South, The North American Review, and other journals. In 2004, her short story “Pretty” received a Pushcart Prize.
Luongo is currently working on a second collection of stories, tentatively titled Fine Arts.
