Glass Beadmaking for Beginners

This weekend workshop will teach students the basics concerning Lampworking safety, torch, tools, materials, and glass bead construction. Students will draw upon various demonstrations to learn how to make beads. Simple color patterns and technical ideas will be discussed, followed by hands on work at the torch. Scheduled torch time outside of class will also be available for advancement of skills.

Leah Tuscany is an accomplished lampwork glass artist, specializing in the creation of functional and sculptural glass beads and art objects. Leah regularly participates in Ohio and Wisconsin gallery and art shows and teaches workshops specializing in beginning to advanced lampwork design. She also incorporates Precious Metal Clay into the design of lampwork projects. Gallery
