Beginning Watercolor an Beyond

Jean’s objective is to provide students with the understanding of the basic techniques of watercolor, and to then go beyond. She will demonstrate the vast range and flexibility of this medium. Students will explore and experiment as they develop their own personal style. Jean’s style can be described as eclectic-she will share her experience in creating floral pieces, landscapes, and innovative loose and spontaneous abstractions. She puts fun and enthusiasm into the process through demonstrations and individual critiques. Students leave with a thorough understanding of transparent layering, wet-in-wet, color mixing, creating a multitude of textures, composition and design, and the skill to continue painting with confidence and joy.
