Beginning Stained Glass: Lead Came Techniques

In this class you will learn the age old technique of how to make a stained glass window using traditional lead came, the first material used to construct stained glass windows. You will learn the history of glass, how it is manufactured, and an emphasis on how to cut glass properly. Class includes instructions on how to use the hand tools with demonstrations on proper use. During the course you will learn pattern making, cutting, soldering and the glazing of a small panel consisting of thirty pieces or less.

Linda Moorman is the owner/operator of BeauVerre Riordan Stained Glass Studios in Middletown, Ohio. BeauVerre Riordan is the oldest continually operating stained glass studio in the United States and was voted Best of Cincinnati in 2008. Linda has been teaching stained glass classes for seventeen years in all different levels and techniques Linda teaches the way of the true craftsman. Gallery
