Reaching your Creative Potential with Digital Photography
The focus of the course is the development of a personal photographic vision through a series of specific shooting exercises. Exercises include experimentation with artificial and natural lighting, indoor and outdoor settings and portraiture. Shooting will be done in both automatic and manual camera modes. Camera controls including white balance, on camera flash and film speed will also be covered. The diverse and picturesque Miami University campus will serve as our shooting location, providing daily opportunities to explore with the camera. Image import and basic Photoshop workflow will conclude the workshop.
Noted requirements: A digital Single Lens Reflex camera is preferred, however, a 35mm "point & shoot" 6 mega pixel or larger camera with adjustable controls is acceptable. Good walking shoes are a must! You will cover a fair amount of ground in your campus excursions.
