Making Your Presence Felt (from Head to Toe)
Learn how to transform wool into felt, a non-woven artistic medium that can be displayed or worn. The class will begin with instruction on choosing wool fiber and making felt with traditional wet felting and needle felting techniques. The class will advance in designing felt with color, pattern, texture, non-wool fibers, and shibori techniques. Demonstrations for creating a number of class projects (jewelry, hats, scarves and bags) will be presented, but students will be encouraged to experiment and explore the creative possibilities that felt has to offer.
