Experiencing Zion the Photographic Way
We will be exploring and photographing the beauty and wonder of Zion National Park and the surrounding area in southwest Utah. Participants will be combining daily field trips, project assignments, technical discussions, and critiques to develop or refine their ability to represent photographically their experience and relationship to the natural environment. This class will focus on digital techniques including basic instruction in using Photoshop for basic image enhancement. A digital camera (5 megapixel or larger – many point and shoot style cameras will work) is required. From a home base in Springdale, Utah, just outside the park we will make excursions into Zion. Access to most areas will require light hiking.
