Fused Glass: Dots, Dashes, and Curly Q's

Students in this workshop will be introduced to various fusing techniques to create their own flat and raised patterned glass. The glass will then be turned into finished pieces. Projects include jewelry components, a small slumped bowl, and tiles. The basics of safety, cutting, sanding, glass compatibility and kiln schedules will be covered, as well. Students will leave this class with a good foundation of knowledge about fused and slumped glass which they can build on for years to come.

She was a finalist and winner at the Niche Awards in Philadelphia for Sculptural and Functional Glass. She was also a finalist in Bullseye Emerge 2004. Currently, she shows her fused work at Mica Contemporary Craft and the Contemporary Art Center in Cincinnati. She maintains a studio in Cincinnati where she resides with her husband and three daughters.  Gallery  Visit Sandra's website.
