Editing Movies for Classroom and Web

This workshop focuses on editing and post-production techniques and options. Students will learn the ‘magic’ of making motion pictures with basic camcorder and computer equipment. This workshop combines field footage with music and narration and finds ways to edit the material into short films. These films will be transferred to DVD for archive purposes as well as compressed for uploading to a special YouTube channel created for this workshop. Students must have basic computer skills.

Beginning at The Ohio State University Instructional Television department in 1971, Terry Wilson has worked in all aspects of electronic media. A radio and TV host for thirty years, he has contributed to award-winning marketing and educational productions. Wilson has created dozens of TV commercials for clients in the central Ohio area, along with several broadcast documentaries (view online at YouTube - TerryWilsonCom's Channel).
