Book Arts Galore
Drawing from rich western and eastern book formats, and innovative new formats, participants will create a traditional signature sewn book with a hard case, then play with accordion and origami folds for books that can move into space. Spine sewing on a soft cover book, with slipcase, will further expand the possibilities of personal expression and strengthen creativity. Beautiful papers from around the world, numerous aesthetic examples, as well as the relationship of format to content and history will ground you in the making of those intimate vessels known as books!
