Glass Beadmaking
This week-long workshop will give students the opportunity to progress beyond the base bead. Techniques will include an introduction to the tube shape, incorporating metals and frits into organic beads, and learning more complex dot patterns and other methods for surface decoration. For those interested, a how-to on studio setup will also be addressed. Plan to go home with a handful of treasures!
Marjorie Langston has been making beads since 1993 and teaching beadmaking since 1999. She teaches regularly at the John C. Campbell Folk School, the Appalachian Center for Craft, the Jacksonville Center for the Arts and in her private studio.
