Basics of Beading

This workshop is structured for anyone interested in making fabulous jewelry. No previous experience is required. You’ll learn two main methods for creating jewelry with beads, stringing and wirework. The scope of this workshop includes learning about a variety of stringing materials, beading tools, beads and findings. It also provides a great introduction to wireworking where you’ll learn to work with various gauges of wire and several styles of wirewrapping. Projects include: necklaces, bracelets, earrings and clasps.

Peg Tuscany, a jewelry designer from Racine, Wisconsin, began creating beaded jewelry after being introduced to the beautiful art of lampwork beads. A co-owner of Tuscany Lampwork Art, her one-of-a-kind pieces are a collaboration featuring lampwork beads produced by her partner and sister-in-law, Leah Tuscany.
