Acrylic Revolution
This class provides an overview of the vast possibilities available with acrylic painting. Students will examine the use of a variety of acrylic paints, mediums, gels, grounds and painting tools. The class is designed to explore the many opportunities for applying, brushing, pouring, scraping, squirting, rolling, sanding, embedding, collaging, transferring images and doing whatever else the artist can discover that's possible with the versatility of acrylic paints.
Ken Umbach studied at the School of Fine Arts, Miami University; University of Cincinnati; Cincinnati Art Academy; Central Academy of Art, Cincinnati and the Tyler Art School in Philadelphia. An award winning artist, his paintings and drawings are represented in private collections from London to Bangkok and throughout the U.S. Galleries in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Ohio, North Carolina and Georgia have shown his work. Ken also teaches acrylic, watercolor and creativity classes at the John C. Campbell Folk School, NC and the Blue Ridge Mountains Art Center, GA. Gallery
