Miami University

Workshop Fees:

Miami University sets fees based on the following: whether class is for credit or non-credit, number of credit hours, graduate or undergraduate, and Ohio residency status.

Instructional fees do not include housing fees, studio materials costs, food, and incidental expenses.

Registration & Program Fees:

Registration Fee - This fee helps pay for necessary technology, tracking, and personnel associated with the registration process (credit and non-credit). This is a non-refundable fee charged by the University. The Administration fee is $20 per student, per workshop registration.

Program Fee - CraftSummer is a self-supporting academic program. Revenue generated from tuition and fees must cover the program expense. To ensure sustainability of CraftSummer programming, it is necessary to institute some restrictions for course enrollments in 2011. Beginning with CraftSummer 2011, each course offering will allocate a minimum of 50% of the available seats to students enrolling for non-credit, and remaining seats to credit program enrollees. This will allow the program to sustain continued operation.
Those enrolling in workshops for Miami University credit will be assessed a refundable program fee of $65 per weeklong workshop and $40 per weekend class. Please see information regarding cancellations.

Supply Fees
: All workshops have a minimum $6.00 studio fee. In most cases you should be prepared to pay fees that cover the cost of consumable materials. These fees are calculated on personal use and/or evenly assessed against all participants in a workshop. Supply fees can range anywhere from $25-$200, and are collected by student monitors on the last day of each workshop. Some instructors provide specialized materials from their own stores (you will receive notification of this arrangement - payment is made directly to the instructor, not to CraftSummer). A list of materials and tools will be on the web site in mid-April so that certain items can be purchased in your area prior to workshops dates.

Registration fees and waivers are subject to change without notice.

Registration cannot be completed without full payment of fees.
