Janet E. Hurn |
Janet Hurn is a Physics Instructor on the Middletown Campus and has been with Miami since 1990. She is actively involved with teaching with technology and teaches online as well. Janet developed PHY 121, Energy and Environment, for delivery online. She has been part of the movement to increase student access by teaching some courses online since 1999. She is one of the original members of CoOL.

Andrea Han
|
Andrea Han is the coordinator of the Center of Online Learning and of the Middletown campus's Educational Technology Center. Andrea has been teaching online since 1999. |

Beth Uhler
|
Beth Uhler teaches Psychology on the Middletown campus and was one of the first instructors to teach online at Miami in 1999. She was the founder of the original CoOL group and has been a member since. Her specialties include assessment and communication in an online environment.

Brenda Boyd
|
Brenda Boyd has over seven years experience in the design and development of online and blended-delivery courses. Her primary responsibilities include the support of faculty developers of online education and the design and implementation of comprehensive Blackboard training. Brenda is a Certified Peer Review for Quality Matters and also is a member of the QM Advisory Board. Brenda earned her M.S. in Education with a specialization in Instructional Design for Online Learning entirely through online course work.

Amy Fisher
|
Amy Fisher, Associate Professor of Mathematics and Statistics, has been a MUM faculty member since 1990. She has always been interested in technology and how to use it to enhance teaching. Her interest in online learning has grown since she has been teaching engineering tech majors from across the state.

Rob Speckert
|
Rob Speckert is a full in the department of Engineering Technology at Miami University. At Miami, Rob has led the Engineering Technology associate degree programs through initial accreditation (1995) and re-accreditation (2002) by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (TAC/ABET). He also led the BS completion programs through initial TAC/ABET accreditation in 2006. This BS completion program is delivered by web and interactive video to colleges across Ohio.

Jen-chien Yu
|
Jen-chien Yu has been an Electronic Information Services Librarian/Data Specialist at Miami University Libraries since 2001. She develops Web-based services and applications, with a focus on applications for numeric data users and instructional outreach to first-year students. She is involved in the development of E-learn, a Web-based instruction for first-year students funded by an Ohio Board of Regents Grant. She teaches "Introduction to Information Studies in the Digital Age," a semester-long course in locating and creating information in a variety of digital formats.

Jean Vanderbeek
|
Jean Vanderbeek, Associate Professor of Nursing, has been a faculty member since 1983. She has been involved with on-line education for 5 years. She developed and teaches one of the 3 online courses offered through the Department of Nursing and was the online technical expert in the development of the second course. She joined CoOL because she believes that online courses offer students and faculty a choice of course delivery and CoOL facilitates online course development and quality online learning opportunities.

Susan Reams
|
Susan Reams teaches in the Department of Nursing at Miami. She earned her Masters of Science in Nursing via an online program. She has been teaching online courses in the nursing program since 2003. |
