Department of Communication

The Department of Communication has roughly 25 graduate students and offers master’s degrees in both Speech Communication and Mass communication. Areas collaborate and share resources, providing students with a broad exposure to the discipline of communication.

Faculty are committed to both scholarship and teaching, so in addition to being active scholars, several are also award winning teachers. In both graduate programs the faculty/student ratio is approximately 1 to 1.5, allowing for small classes (8 to 15 students) and close interaction with faculty.
