Dr. Ryan is a Associate Professor in Mass Communication and Journalism.  She brings 20 years of professional journalism experience to Miami University, including 10 years working as a producer at the network news level (ABC, NBC and Fox NewsChannel) and she continues to work as a documentary producer.  Her research interests include oral history, visual communication, propaganda, and television news labor and representation.
