Steve joined the department in 1995 as Assistant Chief Engineer. He was promoted to Chief in 2000 at the retirement of Doug Miller. Prior to joining Miami, Steve worked over 20 years in the broadcast industry. He led the production department at WKEF-TV (NBC) in Dayton, Ohio, served as engineering and production supervisor for WPTD-TV (PBS) as well as an assortment of free lance audio and video activities. Steve earned his BS in communication from the University of Evansville in 1977, studied communication electronics at Indiana Vocational Technical College (Evansville) and received SBE Broadcast Technologist certification in 1993.
