Meeting commenced at 11:30

Minutes approved (Wang, Wolfe)

Web Page Update: Bergen and Kovacs met with the webmaster, J Murphy, and he reported that the new Center web page is now available online. There are still small modifications remaining that are related to Faculty members’ interests and links left to add. Murphy also reported that the Family Studies web page has been developed and he will be meeting with Dr Hennon to go over any changes before they begin adding the resources.

Funded proposals: J. Wanko’s proposal for continuation of the RAMP project was not funded. There is a possibility, however, that the Discovery project will fund workshops over the summer for the Hamilton teachers.

Potential proposals: B. Therrien and C. Hurr (Butler County MRDD) are investigating potential collaboration on submitting a proposal for Functional Assessment in Mental Health. Wolfe reported that he has not heard back on his proposal to continue and expand his argumentation research. The board discussed the carry over possibilities for his current funds for next year if the proposal is not funded.

The newsletter has been printed and the Board members present received copies. The newsletter will be distributed to university offices and all CHDLT faculty associates and advisory council members.

The Faculty Associate lunches were discussed, and key members for each topic were identified for scheduling purposes. The members have been tentatively grouped based on common research interests. The meeting will be headed by either Dr Wolfe or Dr Hennon, and they will be held in the private dining room of the 1809 Room in the Shriver Center over the next month. The invitation was reviewed and edited by the Board members.

New Faculty Associate: C. Wolfe proposed Sian Beliak as a Faculty Associate and gave background information on her research and interests. Beliak’s vita was reviewed and the motion to add her as a faculty associate was approved. (Wolfe, Wang)

Meeting adjourned at 12:30.
