
Assessment: Student Success Plan
STUDENT SUCCESS PLAN
In response to increased demands for accountability in higher education, the Ohio Board of Regents has asked all Ohio colleges and universities to develop and implement a Student Success Plan. The Student Success Plans will allow Ohio institutions to maintain their unique strengths as well as demonstrate their commonalities with other Ohio institutions. In composing their Student Success Plan, each institution will:
- Define learning outcomes and assess student achievement of those outcomes in General Education.
- Define learning outcomes and assess student achievement of those outcomes in undergraduate majors.
- Set not just current standards but also higher expectations in undergraduate education: content, competencies, abilities and successful completion.
- Ensure the engagement of faculty and the entire instructional community in continuous improvement of student outcomes and student achievements.
