Internship Services

Our services include:

• A Web-based system that allows you to register with the Office of Career Services online.
• Inclusion in our online Candidate Database (being replaced by Miami CAREERlink) available to prospective intern employers via the World Wide Web (happens automatically when you register with the Office of Career Services).
• On-campus interviews for selected internship opportunities (must be registered with the Office of Career Services).
• Individual appointments with career advisors to discuss internships and provide help in tailoring your own internship plan.
• Internship-related information, announcements, and updates via the MUINTERN Listserv.
• An online Internship Database, using Miami CAREERlink, which lists hundreds of internship opportunities.
• More than 50 internship and summer employment resources in the Career Resource Center located in Hoyt Hall.
• Workshops on internship-related topics such as Interviewing Techniques and Resumes & Cover Letters.
• Resume and cover letter critiques and practice "mock" interviews.
• Links to dozens of internship-related Internet sites.
• The annual Spring Internship & Career Expo "Spring ICE" is scheduled for Wednesday, February 20, 2008, Millett Hall, 1:30-5:30 PM. At Spring ICE you can explore possible internships and/or full-time employment with more than 90 employers. All students welcome!
