How to Begin Your Internship Search Workshops are available at various time.

Vol. 2, No. 1

Welcome to this year's first issue of The Internship Bulletin. The purpose of The Internship Bulletin is to keep you informed about the internship resources available through the Office of Career Services and to provide you with information to help you with your internship search.

If you have not already done so, we encourage you to register on Miami CAREERlink as one part of your internship search. When students register and upload their resume(s) on Miami CAREERlink, they gain access to a powerful resource for their internship search. Many employers use Miami CAREERlink to identify candidates and invite them to interview on-campus.

Students also gain access to internship listings of employers who may not come to campus to recruit.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST UPLOAD A RESUME AS A PART OF THE REGISTRATION PROCESS.

While we encourage you to register on Miami CAREERlink and review the internship listings, we suggest you consider Miami CAREERlink as one part of your internship search. The other parts may include networking, using the internship directories in the Career Resource Center, making an appointment with a Career Advisor, and attending a How to Begin Your Internship Search Workshop.

TO ACCESS MIAMI CAREERLINK AND INTERNSHIP LISTINGS:

  1. Go to Career Services’ homepage (www.muohio.edu/careers), click on ‘Students,’ click on ‘Miami CAREERlink,’ click on ‘Click Here to Enter.’
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. NOTE: If you are a first-time user, both your username and password are your Banner ID. Please remember to add the (+) before your Banner ID.
  4. In order to search for internships on Miami CAREERlink, click on the ‘Jobs’ tab. It is important to note that the system does not differentiate between jobs and internships in the various search methods, so the ‘Jobs’ tab contains both internship and job opportunities. You can choose specific criteria to tailor your internship search, but the Office of Career Services would also recommend a general search as well. To conduct a general search select ‘Show me - All Jobs & Interviews’ and ‘Position type - Internships,’ then click the ‘Search’ button (see sample PDF.
