The Center for the Advancement of Computational Research (CACR)
was established in 2003 as a collaborative support structure for
faculty and student research in all fields at Miami University.
The CACR promotes innovation, collaboration, and state-of-the
art computation through faculty development programs aimed at:
- Building new interdisciplinary
research
groups around
computationally
intensive problems.
- Stimulating
the use of
computational
science and
high performance
computing in research,
teaching,
and learning.
- Strengthening
external
funding proposals
for research
and curriculum development.
Any research or classroom
endeavor in which large
data sets, visualization,
simulation, or other number
crunching activity plays
a role can benefit from
the CACR programs.
