Bielfeld's Oberstufenkolleg, by Ludwig Huber-a short description and discussion of the Oberstufen-Kolleg at the University of Bielfeld--the only example of a sort of liberal arts college in the Federal Republic of Germany.
IDS Computer List Activated, by Chris Wolfe-the idea is to facilitate nationwide and international communication among interdisciplinarians and generate thoughtful discussions of issues such as pedagogy and integrating perspectives.
Institute in Integrative Studies -Miami University(Oxford, Ohio) has started an institute this fall (1992) to provide key faculty members from colleges and universities planning interdisciplinary liberal education courses with exposure to Miami's nationally recognized interdisciplinary program, the School of Interdisciplinary Studies. The director of the Institute is William H. Newell.

Wayne State FIPSE ID Writing Grant, WSU ID program received a
$224,000 three-year comprehensive grant from FIPSE entitled "Creating a 'Campus' Through Writing."
